Biden Administration to unveil “bold goals” for biotechnology, biomanufacturing : Biofuels Digest


In Washington, the Biden Administration unveiled bold new goals for biotechnology and biomanufacturing, plus a new report — a delegation of 14 high-ranking officials are headed to ABLC 2023 this week in the capital to provide first reactions and briefings to the bioeconomy industry on the new goals and targets of the Administration.

Dr. Arati Prabhakar, Assistant to the President for Science and a member of the Biden Cabinet in her role as director of the White House Office of Science & Technology Policy, is leading the delegation and will address ABLC at 140pm Wednesday, and have a fireside chat with delegates as they explore the high-level Administration outlook. Afterwards, high-ranking officials from USDA, DOE< Defense, Commerce, the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation will engage in a one-hour panel discussion on the new bold goals as seen at the Agency level.

The extraordinary Presidential Forum on Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing Innovation will kick-off ABLC 2023, followed by two leadership Summits on the key areas of bioeconomy challenge and opportunity, SAF and feedstocks. At 5pm, the industry gathers for the State of the Bioeconomy Presentation and individual leadership delegate introductions before adjourning for the night.
