The different uses of wind power energy

With the increasing price of sources of energy like oil, gas and so on, the demand for renewable and alternative energy sources are increasing. Natural sources of energy like the solar energy and the wind power energy are among the ones getting popularity as renewable as well as endless source of energy that is not expensive either. The energy of lightening is yet to be utilized but the day is not far when providing electricity for the whole world would be easy with the energy of lightening. Currently it has been experimented and accepted that solar energy, water power energy and wind energy can successfully overcome the shortfall caused due to the lack of gas and oil and that too at a much lower cost as well as without the fear of depletion.

If you go through the wind power history, you would probably find that for the very first time wind power energy was used for sailing boats and ships through water. Back then people did not think of converting wind energy into any other kinds of energy to utilize it for different purposes. Then in the wind power history was added the use of pumps, for pumping water into fields and for grinding flours too. The first windmill came long after this and was first built in Persia, which later spread to Europe and America. But wind was and is still used to sail ships and boats apart from also using it to convert into other energies like mechanical energy through kinetic energy with the help of windmills. Now the use of the windmills has grown throughout the world and slowly people are turning to these natural reservoirs of renewable energies rather than the ones that stand the threat of complete depletion.

The latest to make another wind power history is the Flettner rotors. This is one revolutionary invention that use wind power energy to help move ships forward faster. Flettner rotors do not only make water transport a much faster process but makes it much safer too. Hence you see the numerous uses in the variety of sectors; the wind energy is being successfully put into. The day we start using only all these renewable sources of energy like wind, water, solar, there will be no more need for expensive oils and our natural resources would be saved from depletion and so will be our mother earth.
